I have taught photography workshops since 1979. My first workshops were in SX-70 manipulation and later in Polacolor Image Transfer. In 1995 I added Adobe Photoshop, a program so deep and broad that it can be taught a dozen different ways. I continue to offer workshops in Polaroid techniques but am focusing much more on Photoshop and related ditgital imaging classes.
Teaching has always been my first love since I was in graduate school. My collaborative work with artists in the Polaroid 20x24 Studio has always been a form of teaching to me but not in the same way as the classroom. My workshops allow me to reach a much greater range of artists, from students to professionals looking for new directions to non-professionals looking to enrich their lives. The workshop structure allows both teacher and student to delve deeply into a subject in a short period of time. The intensity of concentration and exhilaration of discovery brings everyone to a new level, the teacher included. Included here are my scheduled workshops and their descriptions. I am priveleged to be teaching in some of the best schools in the United States. Good facilities and strong staffs make teaching a pleasure. These institutions offer the best in workshop experiences. I hope you can join me in exploring the creative potential that these workshops offer.
